In observance of the National Mourning Day and the 48th martyrdom anniversary of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, Shakti Foundation organized several activities to honor the great architect and founder of Bangladesh. On 15th August, 2023, the Shakti Senior Management and branch representatives gathered at Road No. 32, Dhanmondhi to pay tribute to the portrait of Bangabandhu and commemorate the martyrs from that fateful day. In addition, Shakti employees from Gopalganj Sadar and Kotalipara placed floral wreaths at Bangabandhu’s tombstone with due respect and solemnity. A doa mahfil was also conducted at Shakti Bhabon with the participation of all Head Office staff members.
On this occasion, a Free Medical Camp was organized at Kazi Abul Hossain High School in Mirpur - 13, Dhaka. 184 people availed free healthcare services from two specialized doctors. Lastly, our ENRICH Program arranged a children’s drawing and recitation competition as well as a doa mahfil at the Majidpur, Cumilla Education Assistance Center to pay homage to the Father of the Nation.
