Shakti Foundation for Disadvantaged Women has signed a partnership agreement with The Climate Watch to jointly implement a special climate communication and advocacy initiative around COP31.
Under the partnership, titled "Shakti–The Climate Watch COP31 Climate Dialogue Series: From Local Solutions to Global Climate Action," the two organizations will co-produce a series of 10 video talk shows featuring climate negotiators, policymakers, researchers, development practitioners, women leaders, young climate advocates, and representatives of vulnerable communities. The initiative aims to connect locally implemented climate solutions in Bangladesh, including urban greening, clean air, renewable energy, women's empowerment, resilient livelihoods, and inclusive climate action with the broader international climate agenda. The collaboration will run through December 31, 2026, spanning pre-COP preparation, on-the-ground production and field reporting during the conference, and post-COP publication and impact reporting.
The 31st United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP31) is scheduled to be held in Antalya, Türkiye, from November 9 to 20.
