On the occasion of International Women’s Day, Shakti Foundation organized health awareness and medical support activities for women and adolescent girls in 20 remote areas of Bangladesh through its 20 Mobile Health Clinics. Around 500 participants, including 300 adolescent girls and 200 women, took part in the initiative. The program focused on raising awareness about menstrual hygiene, maternal health, and the prevention of non-communicable diseases (NCDs), along with practical guidance on maintaining a healthy lifestyle.
Nearly 200 women received free health screenings, including blood pressure and random blood sugar (RBS) tests, along with medical advice and health counseling. In addition, Shakti Pharma provided free sanitary napkins and primary healthcare services to 60 women. This initiative reflects Shakti Foundation’s continued commitment to women’s health, recognizing that healthy women are the foundation of healthy families and a stronger society.
