Celebrating Women’s Creativity and Empowerment: Shakti Foundation Marks International Women’s Day with Special Exhibition

On the occasion of International Women’s Day, 8 March 2026, Shakti Foundation organized a special exhibition to celebrate women’s creativity, talent, and empowerment. The exhibition featured a diverse range of products created by women and youth who have received training and support through various initiatives. Among the highlights were beautiful block-batik products crafted by women from Comilla, handmade bags produced by acid attack survivors, and delicious baked goods prepared by trained young entrepreneurs. Each product reflected the dedication, resilience, and creativity of its makers.

Adding to the festive spirit, a lively mehendi (henna) festival was also arranged, bringing joy and engagement to participants and visitors alike. In a meaningful gesture of social responsibility, all proceeds from the exhibition will be used to support underprivileged elderly residents and children with special needs, transforming women’s creativity into a source of community impact.Through initiatives like this, Shakti Foundation continues its commitment to empowering women, celebrating their talents, and supporting marginalized communities for a more inclusive society.
