On March 27, 2024, Shakti Foundation organized a Community Outreach Program at the Apon Nibas Old Age Home and Women's Shelter located in Moinartek, Uttarkhan, Dhaka, on the occasion of Bangladesh’s 53rd Independence Day. With the support of the British High Commission in Bangladesh, Shakti Foundation distributed over 86 sets of Eid clothes, RO water filters, and solar batteries to the residents of the old home. Mr.Marjan Nur, Climate Change Policy Manager from the British High Commission in Bangladesh presided over the event as the chief guest. Founder and Executive Director, Mrs. Sayeda Shalina Sally, and staff members of Nibash Old Home and Women's Shelter, as well as representatives of Shakti Foundation, were present on the occasion.
