USAID/Bangladesh and Shakti Foundation are organizing an interactive policy dialogue to address air pollution in Dhaka City. This rising menace has contributed to the increased burden of disease from stroke, heart disease, lung cancer, and both chronic and acute respiratory diseases, including asthma, reducing the life expectancy of Dhaka residents by 7.7 years per person.
The dialogue will bring together key stakeholders, experts, and government officials to discuss innovative solutions and strategies to improve air quality and safeguard public health. Participants will also explore opportunities for collaboration to create a cleaner and healthier environment for all residents of Dhaka City.
