Recently, the districts in the south-eastern part of the country were hit by severe floods. As floodwaters recede, cases of waterborne diseases, especially diarrhea, are increasing among the affected communities. To support the treatment of these conditions, Shakti Foundation has donated cholera saline to aid the flood-stricken people in Comilla.
On September 12, 2024, Shakti Foundation handed over 600 packets of cholera saline to Cumilla’s Civil Surgeon Dr. Nasima Akhtar at her office. Senior officials from both Shakti Foundation and local authorities were present at the handover.
