Shakti Foundation has been supporting relief efforts to assist the impacted vulnerable populations in the 5 most flood-devastated districts in the southeast of Bangladesh. Since the onset of the floods, the organization has spent over Tk 1 crore providing food relief to over 10 thousand families and free emergency medical care to 5,630 women and children using mobile clinics, while also offering shelter to 332 people in its branch offices.
Continuing its efforts to aid the flood-affected population, on September 10, 2024, Shakti Foundation has contributed Tk 50 lakhs (equivalent to one day’s salary of its employees) to the Honorable Chief Adviser’s Relief and Welfare Fund for post-flood rehabilitation. The officials of Shakti Foundation have handed over a check to Mr. Farooq E Azam, Bir Pratik, Advisor to the Ministry of Disaster Management and Relief
Mr. Imran Ahmed, Deputy Executive Director of Shakti Foundation, stated: “We thank all Shakti Foundation staff for contributing one day’s salary to assist those who are in need during this difficult period. We are committed to be working alongside the Chief Adviser and the Interim Government to rehabilitate the flood victims and rebuild the nation."
