On May 8, 2025 the board and advisory council members of INAFI Bangladesh, representing NGO-MFIs (Microfinance Institutions) made a courtesy visit with honorable Governor of Bangladesh Bank, Dr. Ahsan H. Mansur.
The meeting focused on several important issues concerning the microfinance sector, such as the Deposit Protection Scheme, policies on savings collection, annual subscription fee, foreign fund mobilization and special fund allocation at Bangladesh Bank among others.
Humaira Islam, PhD. Founder and Executive Director of Shakti Foundation, attended the meeting as an advisory council member of INAFI Bangladesh.
The honorable Governor attentively listened to the issues raised and assured the members that proper steps will be taken to address those.
